So I have my first big test in my ASL class tomorrow, so I originally planned on posting the next edition then, after class (even though I said I'd post every other week for a while). But there's been so many great stories on the board, and I've just about wrapped up almost every episode left in the season, and after refreshing the page for the ten trillionth time hoping to see an update from someone, I decided, what the heck. I'll update.
You can see in the updated Table of Contents my current plans for the rest of the season - I think we'll end with 31 episodes (although the season finale may be two parts - but don't worry; I won't make you wait an extra week for that one - I'll post them together).
The general consensus seemed to be "the more the better," so the new schedule of episodes includes two dates I was originally going to skip, both featuring Dr. Miller - Sept 18 and 23.
You'll also notice that there's a relatively big jump in time between Sept 23 and the season finale - so I decided I'm going to do an "interlude" that will kind of sum up what happens in between those two dates. This episode will be a departure from the typical format of I/E and read like a journal article written by Kai. I figured this would fit into the story well, serve the purpose of summing up what happens in between episodes, and also be an homage to the origins of I/E. (I/E started originally as first-person journal entries.)
You'll also notice I asked Lee to add the tags "mental illness" and "deafness" to I/E, to try to better encompass more of what's covered during the course of the story. I think we'll see more of the "deafness" aspect in Season Two (which I'm starting to plan out now), as well as in future stories from me (mental illness, too).
So, what can you expect from this week's episode? Kai's still in the hospital - getting better, though it's still uncertain what's causing his blood pressure issues or how badly he injured his legs. Jon also gets back to work (kind of). And both Nikki and Vicky make appearances.
This episode has one of my favorite scenes in the season. I hope you enjoy.
Thank you all so much for all your comments. It's so amazing to me to see how many of you are really enjoying I/E, and I'm always excited to see what you guys think. Keep them coming :).
PS - I apologize in advance if there are any errors in my Spanish! I normally have someone double-check my Spanish whenever I use it in my writing, but I didn't this time in order to get it up faster. :)
