Can't wait for a new story!
Thanks! I may start writing something tomorrow.
Will literally read anything you write.
I feel the same way. Love Annabelle’s writing.
I voted for all of them, and I’ll certainly read all of them... but I would be more interested in various heroes based on their disabilities. I definitely have preferences. I feel like I’m the outlier with the couple-who-gets-divorced story, though. I don’t like recovery or “getting used to the disability” stories as much as established sort of slices of life. There are lots of recovery stories out there. They don’t seem to paint a picture of who the guy really is, since he still has so much up in the air. Also, I don’t like kids in romantic stories, although you do a good job of making them not so annoying!
Ah, I didn't explain that idea well. It was meant to be they divorced years earlier, after he was injured, and now it's much later and they realize they still have feelings for each other.
I agree with anon, I also don’t like injury/recovery stories. You’re certainly not the only one!
I like all your stories and will definitely read anything you write too. However, I have a challenge for you: I would like you to use a different narrator (not first person). I think that would make one of your novels really different. Not that I don’t like your style, you know I love it. But you know, just as an experiment.
I actually used to write in third person exclusively years ago. But I felt like I found my voice when I switched to first person. I never felt as connected to the characters in third person.
Anything but quarantine! Seriously they all sound interesting and I’d like to read any of them. I totally agree with you about writing in the third person. I find much more connection to my characters writing in first person.
I've been thinking about the quarantine story idea, ever since I drove south down my road. I live on a county line - my street is 'Jones' county on the east and 'Smith' county on the west. So with the pandemic, kids have been putting out their "Senior 2020" signs, yes?Well, on my street, the kids on the left post "J-school 2020", and the kids on the right, "Smitty High '20". They live literaly across the street out in the country... but go to different schools, and might not even know each other, or that they have graduation in common, except for the signs. You're inspiring me to develop the idea and make a go of it, even if you choose another idea. So thank you!Devorah
