Hey everyone!
This short story is the first chapter of a novel I started writing ages ago. Then real-world events caught up with my story and I never had the heart to continue. Who knows, one day I might be able to go back to it—I sincerely hope that will be the case. For now, I've polished up this first chapter to share as a standalone piece. I know it won't cure our collective hunger for stories, but maybe it'll stave off the craving for a while?
Oh, and that may be of potential interest for some: The story features a quadriplegic character! It’s a first for me. So... tell me what you think of The Messenger!
