Thank you so much to everyone who commented last week. Your words are the fuel which keeps me up every night writing after working all day.
Here's another chapter of Some Things Never Change.
Hello, PD stories!
I realize it's been a crazy amount of time since I last posted, and I want to apologize for that. It took me over a year to finish this chapter.
[skip life update]
Just a quick update: some of you already knew why I stopped writing over a year ago, over mental health related to fertility issues, but I am really, really happy to announce to those friends I ghosted around 2 years ago, that I am now mother to an amazing baby girl. Even though we tried for many years, IVF and all, it came out of nowhere, months after we decided not to go for another round. The universe is strange, friends. And I'm not complaining.
Thank you to those who encouraged me to write and post again. It's been a great outlet for all this energy I have to give, now.
[end life update]
I can't promise I'll have another chapter next week, but I'll try. I do have some other stuff cooking; remember B-L-I-N-D? I've been writing a LOT of that recently, and I really wanna share it with you.
Without further ado, HERE'S the update to He's Not Mr. Perfect.
Also, check my short story, B-L-I-N-D, featuring a CODA introducing her Blind fiancé to her Deaf family, which should be getting some extended content soon.
Please let me hear your feedback! Have a great week :D
After the last time, I had decided not to publish again unless I had previously finished writing a story. However, I see no one's publishing and it's sad. I love this blog and I want to keep it active. So I decided to start publishing a story I haven't finished writing yet. I seriously don't know if I'll be able to publish weekly, but I'll try my best.
As always, I'm open to read any and all comments. English is not my first language, and although I've improved miles since the first time I published here, do expect a few spelling mistakes or misused words. Feel free to correct me in any way.
I hope you enjoy the story!
Some Things Never Change
by Alex Ray
Eight years ago things went very wrong in Julia’s life. She made a terrible mistake that cost her her marriage, her house, and every last penny she had. She wasn’t the only one affected by it. Erick, her best friend, still suffers the consequences of her mistake. Ever since then, she's been struggling to make ends meet, doing her best to forgive herself and lead a happy life. Yet, some things never change and Tony -her sexy ex husband-, Erick, and Julia remain best friends.
Hi all! My new book, The F-Word, came out today! Check it out on Amazon!
“So are you excited about the big four-oh?”
I am getting so sick of that question.
In one month, the unthinkable will happen:
I will turn 40.
much as I’m dreading it with every fiber of my being, it could be
worse. For the first time in a long time, my life is good. I’ve got a
fiancé who is planning a fabulous 40th birthday party for me. Two
beautiful children. A job that I adore.
Oh, and an ex-husband who hates my guts.
Audrey thinks I hate her.
That couldn’t be further from the truth. She was the girl of my dreams, and for a short time, I had her and everything I ever wanted. Then one day I was biking down Fifth Avenue, a car slammed into me, and I lost it all.
Audrey is marrying another guy. My kids are going to call that asshole
their stepfather. She’s supposed to walk down the aisle with him.
Yeah, not if I can help it.
I usually post these on Sundays, but since nobody but me is posting, I decided to go early!
ALSO, I had so much fun writing that rock climbing scene, I was considering doing a separate short story about Blake going rock climbing with the group. If enough people express interest, I might write it.
