Update - Cambridge Connections, Chapter Twenty Five

It's 1.20am here in the UK, which means it's Friday, and you're due a CC post. Thank you so much to those of you who commented on my story in the last couple of weeks - you really make it such a rewarding process, and though I don't reply to every comment, I do read them all carefully.

Here is Chapter Twenty Five, with a bit of a dose of drama for you... We briefly meet a few of Alex's friends, and Sam gets a bit more than she bargains for when she surprises Alex with an early visit home. Last week saw the friction between Alex's self-consciousness and Sam's parents' worries surface, and this week all that tension comes to a head. Stay with me, and find out how Sam manages this week's revelation, right before she's due to leave for Canada for eight months...

Check out any previous chapters on the updated Table of Contents.

Early Update - Cambridge Connections, Chapter Twenty Four

Hello - I have to post this one a day early today as I'm away from my laptop til next Monday, and I thought that those of you still reading my story would rather I posted sooner rather than later. Things are really due to get really exciting next week, but that's all I'll say for now...

And if you were wondering how Sam and Alex's trip to her parents went, and whether it would all go smoothly... here's Chapter Twenty Four. She also has her interview for Canada, and you 'see' a glimpse of Alex's accident for the first time.

Don't forget the Table of Contents so you can catch up or re-read previous chapters.

Chapter 2 of "The Outsiders" is up!

First of all - thank you so much for the warm welcome this story has received! I'm glad so many of you like it.

Here's the second chapter.  Jonas and Sigrid gets to know each other better.

In case you wonder why Jonas and Sigrid don't live in a dormitory; we don't have those here in Norway. Most colleges/universities offer student accommodation, but it's not on campus and the wait lists are often long.

Also, in this chapter I mention Jacaranda blooming in Pretoria. If you're not familiar with it this is what many streets in Pretoria looks like when they're in bloom. Truly breathtaking!! :-)

PS! I've also updated the Table of Contents.

Update - Cambridge Connections, Chapter Twenty Three

Thanks for your support in the comments section last week - always great to have feedback, especially when the tone of the chapter is a little different...

I'm a bit later posting it today, as I had a busy day with my photography and all sorts of other things, but anyway, here's Chapter Twenty Three for you. Rachel makes a proper appearance, presenting Alex with some ghosts of the past, Doyle takes Sam out in London, Sam begins to think in earnest about her quest for Canada, and Alex prepares to head to Sam's parents' house by the sea for a long weekend.

Table of Contents has been updated as usual.

New story! "The Outsiders"

Yes, I'm well aware that "Unexpected" desperately needs an update and I have several unfinished stories on my blog as well, but my muse has kept coming up with ideas for this story and I just couldn't resist writing about Sigrid and Jonas.

I'm trying a new style of writing for this story; first person (from the female lead's POV) and present tense. It's a bit of a challenge, but it's also fun to do something different. I hope I get it right.  Another new thing for me is that this story is set in my home town; Oslo, Norway and both of the characters are Norwegian.

The basic plot is:
19 year old Norwegian girl Sigrid has spent most of her life living abroad. She was only a toddler when her journalist father got hired as a foreign correspondent at one of Norway's biggest press agencies and the family moved to London. She has lived in the US, Australia and for the past seven years the family has been based in South Africa.  She doesn't really feel Norwegian, but when it's time to choose where to go for college she makes a decision that surprises both her family and her friends; she chooses the Norwegian Business School in her hometown Oslo, Norway

Her fellow student Jonas is 28 and sustained a spinal cord injury n in a worksite accident three years earlier. His paralysis is incomplete and he switches between using a wheelchair and crutches and braces to get around.

They both feel like outsiders at school; Sigrid because doesn't like to party and keeps to herself. Jonas because of his disability and because he is almost a decade older than most of his fellow students.

Here's Chapter 1 - I hope you like it. :-)

Update - Cambridge Connections, Chapter Twenty Two

Hello! It's Friday already, which means it's time for the next chapter, in more ways than one. Sam journeys back from London for her Taekwondo grading, and both she and Alex make a bit of a personal breakthrough.

I should say that this week's content is a bit more mature than previous chapters have been... I hope some of you are happy, I know you've been wanting them to wear a little less and get a little closer. As ever with these two, they're not moving at a million miles an hour, but good things come to those who wait.

Here's Chapter Twenty Two.

Table of Contents has been updated too.

Take care, and keep letting me know how you feel about my little chick-flick romance - it really does help me, and I really appreciate your thoughts.

No Strings Attached - Table of Contents

I like boys who can't walk and my stories on the Blog spin around those boys and the girls who admire them. Here I give you "No Strings Attached" where you meet Jason and Ariana. This is my first story I had the courage to share with others. I hope very much you enjoy it.

"Jason came out of a motorcycle accident paraplegic. Getting through life in a wheelchair he is barely making ends meet living with his dad in Las Vegas. Not much is going on in his life until he meets Ariana. Her interest for him is real and deep but Ariana is making a living in a way not suitable when wanting a relationship and even when they realize their feelings for each other things are not going to be easy as they hit some obstacles in their life together. In this story you will find love, romance, and trust and along with it lots of drama. Jason and Ariana find out they have dreams of a different and better life in common."

Thank you to everyone who reads this story. I appreciate it so much and am ever so thankful for your comments and feedback. It means a lot to me, Hugs, Dani
