New book release!

Hi everyone, my new novel is finally available HERE!

London, 1735. Covent Garden offers a world of pleasures and diversions, even for a blind man. Tom Finch approaches life with boundless good cheer and resilience, whether he’s pursuing a musical career or pursuing women. And as for his blindness, to him it’s merely an inconvenience. Join Tom for a picaresque romp through high and low Georgian society among rakes, rovers, thieving whores and demireps, highway robbers, bigamists, and duelists, bisexual opera divas, castrati, mollies, and cross-dressers, lecherous aristocrats, and prim ladies.

I stared writing this novel in 2010--I can't believe it's taken me almost 10 years to finally publish it. It truly is a labor of love. Huge thanks to everyone who helped me with beta reading.

If you enjoy it, please write a review on Amazon, Goodreads, Google Books, or anywhere else. I really appreciate it. Even if you don't want to write a review, upvoting other positive reviews helps a lot too. I'm on Goodreads as Lucy May Lennox, so follow or friend me there too.

I'm posting the first chapter again here after the jump. It's revised from the version I posted a few months ago. Enjoy!

Update: Shadowboxing, Chapter 16

Hi everyone,

Back to a longer post this week - and it's the first sex scene since chapter 9. :) Hope you enjoy:

Table of Contents

Finally - I'm still deciding how to pace it, but it's very likely that next week will be the final post of Shadowboxing. This is by far the longest thing I've ever written (fun? fact: for many years I could never get past 500 words of a short story), so I'm excited, and a little relieved, to bring the story to a close. I do have a number of other devotee stories in progress; it'll be good to be able to work on finishing those with a clear conscience. I'm also happy to see that the blog is so active again!

New Chapter - What It Was

Hi friends of  "What It Was",
how is everyone? I hope everyone is well and having a good new week.

So, I have to admit, I just haven't been well and I've been struggling to get into editing the next chapter. I actually had a completely different chapter, one that was supposed to be more positive but it didn't work for me so I bascially just wrote this chapter today. It does tell us more about Jordan's past and I'm sorry if it's too sad again. It's also a bit short.

I have been dealing with stuff the past couple of weeks, I'm just not doing great. On top of various health issues, I actually have a surgery coming up next Monday. It should be routine but I'm nervous and worried nonetheless.
So, I won't be posting next week and depending on everything afterwards I will have to see. But there are plenty of new stories to chose from again, the Blog has awakened again :-)

I give you Chapter 17 of What It Was. I'm sorry for taking a break after this. I'm actually feeling emotional writing this but I will try to be back when I can.

Sending you lots of love and thanks for everyone reading and commenting on the story and also for reading my other stories. You mean a lot to me.
Hugs, Dani

Hi everyone,

I'm so sorry for missing last week's update! Thanks to everyone who checked in on me and the story. As a consolation, Chapter 8 is a longer one, and I hope you like it. Let me know if you do (or don't), love you!

A day in the life, chapter 1

Hi everyone,

My debut on this blog is a story I initially started writing on the board, the response to which was overwhelmingly positive which led me to requesting an account here.
I was initially inspired By Devogirl's excellent Devo Diary, and I might start such a huge project from the point of view of a blind person myself one day if there's enough interest (wink nudge). Today though, I'd like to share something else.
A day in the life of a blind person ... this blind person in fact. I will take you through a typical day. There will be laughter, typical blind moments but overall ... just a detailed, dare I say somewhat tantalizing view of how I face the world and (generally ...sometimes ...maybe?) come out on top.
Please enjoy, and feel free to leave feedback. The next installment should be up next week around this time. If there are things any of you are curious about in particular, feel free to ask in the comments. I can read those by running my fingers across the words you wrote on my braille display ;)

New Story: Begin Again

Hi everyone!

I can't believe how long it's been since I've posted here. I've had a ton going on in the last year since I posted The Consolation Prize (if you haven't had a chance to read, please do—I'd love your feedback).

I'm so excited to finally have the time and motivation to put together another story for ya'll. This one is going to be a bit shorter—more like 4 or 5 parts—but I really hope you like it. Can't wait to hear your thoughts. Also, I haven't quite finished it yet, so I'd also love to hear what you'd like to see happen between Alice and Jack.

New Chapter - What It Was

Hi friends,💞
hope everyone had a wonderful weekend!
Thanks for your patience today! Sorry, I was a bit behind but I worked over the weekend and life has been busy. And I haven't been 100 % healthwise, so I'm really trying to get back on track.
Thanks for the beautiful comments last week and really thanks to all of you still reading this story. I really hope you can feel the love between Jordan and Shay despite how rough it has been for them so far. I also hope I am giving enough thought on Shay as a dev and her attraction to Jordan as a paraplegic and an addict. All those things are such complicated and deep issues.
Here is Chapter 16 of "What It Was".
Everyone reading, thank you so much and everyone taking the time to comment, it means a lot.
Have a wonderful start of November!
Dani 💕

New Story: Ms. Scrooge

Hi guys!!!!  I'm back!!!!

I've been a little burned out and had to take a hiatus.  But I'm back now with a Christmas novel.  The inspiration for this one is: when you read A Christmas Carol as a kid, did you ever kinda wonder what Tiny Tim would be like as an adult??  Yeah.  So.

Ms. Scrooge

“I’m sorry, Elizabeth. We still haven’t received the fax.”

I squeeze the receiver of my desktop phone as I listen to Nick Danvier’s assistant’s clipped voice. I should buy myself a stress ball before I break my phone in two pieces. I can’t believe it’s somehow taking my new assistant, Roberta, two entire days to fax a few sheets of paper. This is ridiculous.

“I’ll try faxing it again,” I say. “I’m so sorry about the delay.”

“Nick is going to be very upset if he doesn’t have this prior to the meeting tomorrow,” she reminds me.

Gee, is that so?

The Danvier chocolate account is huge.  Beyond huge. If we land it, it will guarantee my promotion to the job that my former boss and mentor, Marley Jacobs, has recently vacated since her death. The job I deserve. I can’t do anything to screw this up. It doesn’t matter that it’s three days before Christmas.  There are no excuses.
