No post Saturday because real life came in with a tire iron.
My brother died unexpectedly this week, and everything since has been sad, strange, and administratively cursed.
He was also the funniest person I’ve ever met in my life, so instead of being dignified about it, I’m posting two things today:
Chapter 17 — the usual chaos.
Joseph — a small flag planted in the lore.
He would have hated that sentence, which is how I know I’m doing the right thing.
Oh Evie, my deepest condolences. I’m so sorry to hear this. I think everyone would understand if you don’t post for a while, or only intermittently. Do whatever feels right for you. My thoughts are with you and your family.

DeleteHi Evie. So sorry for your loss. My brother, my younger brother, died unexpectedly too, just 18 months ago. One minute we were planning a camp out, the next we were planning his memorial service. It was so sudden we didn’t even have money for the service. Thank goodness for extended family. My brother was hilarious and it’s still weird that he’s not here. My thoughts are with you and your family. Michelle
ReplyDeleteMichelle, I’m so so sorry. There’s something especially cruel about losing someone funny and huge like that —
Deleteit feels impossible that all that life and noise and mischief can just...stop. I’m so sorry you know this too.
